With ZENO engineering from Katana, the braking surface can move horizontally, which is made possible by guiding the brake disc in special stainless steel carriers. This design saves weight and the disc can expand when heated and later contract again without being deformed.

Floating brake discs have been the standard in motorcycle racing for more than 20 years. Most disc manufacturers in the bicycle sector refer to their discs as floating discs, but only install a riveted connection between the aluminium clockring/carrier plate and the brake disc. The innovative ZENO construction, on the other hand, offers „real floating“ for more braking performance.
